I move around a lot for my studies and so regularly end up having dinner alone in cafes. I often take a book or magazine with me to help pass the time. Last week, I was in COLORADO SPRINGS CO where I ate at We Like It Hot Inc and I read a really interesting article on bamboo clothes. I did not know you can make fabric out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than regular cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent so it is a great possibility for gym wear or even as bamboo towels. I was interested by these claims so I had to find out if this was really the case. I searched online and purchased a few pieces of clothing.

I should tell you I was pretty impressed. The fabric absolutely is soft, kind of like silk. It was almost dry after I took it out of the washing machine which I found to be great. Another thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily require ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is what I look for as I hate ironing.

After some more research I found some more incredible pieces of information about bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows incredibly rapidly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo requires only a small amount of water during the time it grows so they can survive droughts.

I try to make eco-friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothing and other products such as robes, socks, curtains, and baby clothes.

You can find some articles on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
