I travel quite a lot for my job and so often end up having my dinner alone in cafes. I usually take a book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Recently, I was in COATESVILLE PA where I ate at Midway Grill and I read an interesting piece on bamboo clothing. I had no idea you can make clothing out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some amazing qualities. It turns out bamboo clothing is softer than regular cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a great quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent which means it is a great option for gym gear or also as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by what I had discovered so I had to find out for myself. I looked online and purchased a few basic items of clothing.
I must admit I was extremely impressed with the quality. The fabric really is soft, kind of like silk. It was almost dry when I removed it from the washing machine which I thought was amazing. The other thing I noticed is that it did not really need much ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate ironing.
After some more research I found out some interesting details about bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows incredibly quickly which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Plus bamboo uses only a small amount of water during the growing period which means they can survive droughts.
I do my best to make eco friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for clothes and other products such as towels, blankets, curtains, and baby clothes.
You can find some details on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
