I travel a lot for my studies and so usually end up eating all alone in cafes. I like to take a novel or magazine with me to help pass the time. Last week, I was in CLYDE KS where I ate at Clyde Coastal Mart and I came across a really interesting piece to do with bamboo clothes. I had no idea you could make clothes out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. For example, bamboo fabric is softer than organic cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a great quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent which means it is a great choice for gym clothes or also as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by these claims so I had to find out if it was true. I looked online and got some basic items of clothing.
I have to tell you I was pretty impressed. The fabric definitely is soft, not unlike silk. It was almost dry as soon as I removed it from the washing machine which I think is amazing. The other thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily need much ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is something I look for as I can not stand ironing.
You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic clothes stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.
After a bit more research I found some other incredible facts on bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows very quickly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo uses little water during the time it grows so they can survive droughts.
I try to make eco friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as sheets, blankets, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find more details on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
