I move around a lot for my job and so often end up having my dinner by myself in local restaurants. I often take a book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Recently, I was in CLOVIS NM where I ate at Dairy Queen-Brady'S 16 and I came across a new cover story about bamboo clothes. I did not know you could make fabric out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric is softer than organic cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is an excellent quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent making it a good choice for gym clothes or even as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by this article so I had to find out if it was true. I looked online and bought a couple pieces of clothing.
I must admit I was extremely impressed. The fabric absolutely is soft, not unlike silk. It was almost dry after I took it from the washing machine which I found to be amazing. I also noticed is that it did not particularly need much ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is a quality I look for as I can not stand ironing.
After a bit more research I found out some other incredible details about bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows extremely rapidly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo uses only a small amount of water during the growing period so they can survive droughts.
I do my best to make eco friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as robes, socks, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find more information on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
