I move around a lot for my job and so usually end up having my dinner by myself in local restaurants. I often take a book or magazine with me to help pass the time. The other day, I was in CLINTON SC where I ate at Georges Pizza & Pasta and I saw a new article about bamboo clothes. I did not realise you can make fabric out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. For example, bamboo fabric is softer than regular cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent so it is a great choice for gym gear or also as bamboo towels. I was interested by these claims so I had to find out if it was true. I searched online and bought a few basic items of clothing.
I have to say I was extremely happy with what I bought. The fabric absolutely is soft, similar to silk. It was almost dry as soon as I took it from the washing machine which I think is great. Another thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily require ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is something I look for as I can not stand ironing.
After a little more research I discovered some more incredible facts about bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows extremely rapidly which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo uses only a small amount of water during the time it grows so they can survive droughts.
I do my best to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as sheets, socks, rugs, and baby clothes.
You can find plenty of articles on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
