I travel a lot for my work and so regularly end up having my dinner alone in cafes. I like to take a book or magazine with me to help pass the time. The other day, I was in CLEVELAND OH where I ate at Dan's Pizza & Restaurant and I came across a new cover story to do with bamboo. I did not know you could make clothing out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some amazing qualities. I found out bamboo clothing is softer than regular cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a great quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent so it is a good option for gym clothes or also as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by what I had discovered so I had to find out if it was true. I looked online and got some pieces of clothing.
I must tell you I was pretty impressed with the quality. The fabric definitely is soft, similar to silk. It was pretty much dry when I took it from the washing machine which I think is great. Another thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily require ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is a quality I look for as I can not stand ironing.
You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic clothes stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.
After some more research I found some other amazing details about bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows extremely fast which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Also bamboo uses little water during the growth period which means they can survive droughts.
I attempt to make eco-friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothes and other products such as sheets, blankets, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find more information on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
