I travel quite a lot for my studies and so often end up eating by myself in cafes. I usually take a good book or magazine with me to help pass the time. Last week, I was in CLEMSON SC where I ate at Seasons by the Lake and I read a really interesting cover story on bamboo clothes. I had no idea you could make fabric out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some great qualities. I found out bamboo clothing is softer than most cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a great quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent which means it is a excellent possibility for gym wear or also as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by this article so I had to find out if this was really the case. I searched online and got a few items of clothing.

I must tell you I was pretty happy with what I bought. The fabric absolutely is soft, not unlike silk. It was close to being dry when I took it from the washing machine which I found to be incredible. I also noticed is that it did not particularly require ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is what I look for as I can not stand ironing.

Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic apparel stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.

After a little more research I found some more interesting pieces of information about bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows extremely fast which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Also bamboo requires very little water during the growth period which means they can survive droughts.

I do my best to make eco friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as robes, socks, throws, and baby clothes.

You can find some information on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
