I move around a lot for my studies and so usually end up eating alone in cafes. I like to take a book or magazine with me to help pass the time. Last week, I was in CLAWSON MI where I ate at Bangkok Silver Bowl Thai Restaurant and I saw a new cover story to do with bamboo. I did not know you can make fabric out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some amazing qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than most cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent making it a great possibility for gym clothes or also as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by this article so I had to find out for myself. I searched online and got a few items of clothing.

I should tell you I was pretty happy with what I bought. The fabric really is soft, not unlike silk. It was close to being dry as soon as I took it out of the washing machine which I found to be great. The other thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily need much ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is something I look for as I hate doing ironing.

Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic clothes stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.

After a bit more research I found some more amazing pieces of information to do with bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows very fast which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Plus bamboo uses little water during the time it grows which means they can survive droughts.

I attempt to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for clothes and other products such as robes, socks, curtains, and baby clothes.

You can find more articles on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
