I travel quite a lot for my job and so regularly end up having my dinner by myself in cafes. I often take a good book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. The other day, I was in CLARKSVILLE TN where I ate at MOMO Korean BBQ and I read an interesting piece to do with bamboo. I had no idea you can make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. It turns out bamboo clothing is softer than regular cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent which means it is a excellent choice for gym gear or possibly as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by this article so I had to find out if this was really the case. I searched online and bought a couple basic items of clothing.

I must say I was pretty impressed with the quality. The fabric really is soft, kind of like silk. It was pretty much dry after I took it from the washing machine which I thought was great. The other thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily require ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is something I look for as I can not stand ironing.

After a bit more research I discovered some other interesting facts to do with bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows extremely rapidly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Also bamboo needs little water during the time it grows which means they can survive droughts.

I do my best to make eco friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothing and other products such as robes, underwear, throws, and baby clothes.

You can find plenty of articles on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
