I travel quite a lot for my work and so often end up eating all alone in local restaurants. I usually take a good book or magazine with me to help pass the time. Last week, I was in City State where I ate at Name and I read an interesting piece to do with bamboo. I did not realise you could make clothing out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some amazing qualities. I found out bamboo clothing is softer than regular cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a great quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent which means it is a excellent choice for gym clothes or also as bamboo towels. I was interested by what I had discovered so I had to find out if this was really the case. I looked online and purchased some basic items of clothing.
I must admit I was extremely impressed with the quality. The fabric really is soft, not unlike silk. It was almost dry after I took it out of the washing machine which I think is great. The other thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily need ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is what I look for as I hate ironing.
Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic apparel stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.
After some more research I discovered some amazing details about bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows very fast which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Plus bamboo requires only a small amount of water during the growing period which means they can survive droughts.
I attempt to make eco-friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as robes, blankets, rugs, and baby clothes.
You can find plenty of details on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
