I travel quite a lot for my studies and so regularly end up having my dinner all alone in local restaurants. I usually take a book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Recently, I was in City State where I ate at Name and I came across an interesting article about bamboo. I did not realise you can make fabric out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some great qualities. I found out bamboo fabric is softer than most cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is an excellent quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent which means it is a great option for gym clothes or possibly as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by this article so I had to find out if it was true. I looked online and got a couple pieces of clothing.
I should admit I was very impressed. The fabric really is soft, similar to silk. It was pretty much dry after I removed it from the washing machine which I think is amazing. The other thing I noticed is that it did not really need ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate ironing.
Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic apparel stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.
After some more research I discovered some other amazing facts on bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows extremely fast which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Plus bamboo needs only a small amount of water during the growing period meaning they can survive droughts.
I do my best to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothing and other products such as sheets, socks, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find more details on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
