I travel a lot for my job and so often end up eating by myself in cafes. I like to take a novel or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Recently, I was in City State where I ate at Name and I saw a new piece to do with bamboo. I had no idea you could make clothing out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some great qualities. For example, bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than organic cotton. They say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a great quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent making it a excellent option for gym clothes or even as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by these claims so I had to find out if this was really the case. I searched online and purchased a couple pieces of clothing.
I should tell you I was extremely happy with what I bought. The fabric really is soft, kind of like silk. It was pretty much dry when I removed it from the washing machine which I think is incredible. I also noticed is that it did not really require ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate ironing.
Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic apparel stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.
After a little more research I found some interesting pieces of information on bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows very rapidly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo requires little water during the time it grows meaning they can survive droughts.
I do my best to make eco friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothing and other products such as towels, underwear, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find plenty of articles on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
