I travel a lot for my job and so usually end up having my dinner alone in local restaurants. I usually take a novel or magazine with me to prevent boredom. The other day, I was in CINCINNATI OH where I ate at Queen Ann Grill & Bar and I saw a really interesting cover story about bamboo clothing. I did not realise you could make fabric out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some amazing qualities. I found out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than regular cotton. They say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is an excellent quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent making it a great possibility for gym clothes or possibly as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by this article so I had to find out if it was true. I looked online and bought some pieces of clothing.
I should admit I was pretty impressed with the quality. The fabric definitely is soft, kind of like silk. It was pretty much dry as soon as I removed it from the washing machine which I thought was amazing. Another thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily need much ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is what I look for as I hate doing ironing.
After some more research I found some more amazing details to do with bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows extremely quickly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo uses only a small amount of water during the growth period so they can survive droughts.
I try to make eco friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothing and other products such as sheets, underwear, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find some details on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
