I move around a lot for my job and so often end up having my dinner alone in cafes. I often take a book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. The other day, I was in CINCINNATI OH where I ate at Buffalo Wings & Rings and I saw an interesting article about bamboo. I had no idea you are able to make clothing out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some amazing qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than organic cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent which means it is a excellent choice for gym gear or also as bamboo towels. I was interested by this article so I had to find out for myself. I searched online and purchased a few pieces of clothing.
I should say I was very impressed. The fabric absolutely is soft, kind of like silk. It was close to being dry after I removed it from the washing machine which I thought was great. I also noticed is that it did not particularly need ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is what I look for as I can not stand ironing.
Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic apparel stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.
After a bit more research I found some more amazing details to do with bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows very rapidly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Also bamboo uses little water during the growing period meaning they can survive droughts.
I do my best to make eco-friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as sheets, blankets, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find more information on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
