I travel a lot for my job and so usually end up eating by myself in cafes. I usually take a book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Recently, I was in CHICAGO IL where I ate at Linos and I read a new piece to do with bamboo clothes. I did not realise you are able to make clothing out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some great qualities. For example, bamboo clothing is softer than most cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent which means it is a excellent choice for gym gear or possibly as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by this article so I had to find out if it was true. I looked online and got some items of clothing.
I should tell you I was pretty impressed. The fabric really is soft, kind of like silk. It was close to being dry when I took it from the washing machine which I found to be amazing. I also noticed is that it did not necessarily need ironing. I do not know if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate ironing.
After a little more research I found some more incredible facts about bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows extremely rapidly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo uses very little water during the growing period which means they can survive droughts.
I do my best to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothes and other products such as towels, socks, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find more articles on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
