I travel a lot for my work and so usually end up eating by myself in cafes. I usually take a book or magazine with me to help pass the time. Recently, I was in CHICAGO IL where I ate at Atlantique and I read a new piece about bamboo clothes. I had no idea you are able to make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some amazing qualities. For example, bamboo fabric is softer than most cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent so it is a excellent choice for gym gear or even as bamboo towels. I was interested by these claims so I had to find out if this was really the case. I searched online and got some basic items of clothing.

I have to tell you I was very impressed. The fabric really is soft, kind of like silk. It was close to being dry after I removed it from the washing machine which I think is great. The other thing I noticed is that it did not really need much ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is something I look for as I hate ironing.

After a bit more research I found out some other amazing details on bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows extremely fast which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo uses very little water during the growing period meaning they can survive droughts.

I try to make eco friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as sheets, blankets, curtains, and baby clothes.
