I travel quite a lot for my studies and so often end up having my dinner alone in restaurants. I usually take a good book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Recently, I was in CHICAGO IL where I ate at Taco Grill and I came across a new cover story to do with bamboo clothing. I did not know you could make fabric out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some amazing qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than regular cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent making it a good choice for gym wear or even as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by this article so I had to find out for myself. I looked online and purchased some items of clothing.
I must admit I was extremely happy with what I bought. The fabric absolutely is soft, not unlike silk. It was pretty much dry after I removed it from the washing machine which I found to be amazing. The other thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily need ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is something I look for as I hate doing ironing.
Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic apparel stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.
After some more research I found some more amazing details on bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows very rapidly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Also bamboo uses very little water during the time it grows which means they can survive droughts.
I try to make eco friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothing and other products such as towels, underwear, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find more articles on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
