I move around a lot for my work and so regularly end up having my dinner all alone in cafes. I usually take a book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Recently, I was in CHICAGO IL where I ate at Campeche Restaurant Inc and I came across a really interesting piece on bamboo. I did not know you could make clothing out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some great qualities. I found out bamboo fabric is softer than organic cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent which means it is a good option for gym clothes or even as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by this article so I had to find out for myself. I searched online and purchased a few basic items of clothing.
I should tell you I was very impressed with the quality. The fabric definitely is soft, kind of like silk. It was close to being dry after I took it from the washing machine which I thought was incredible. Another thing I noticed is that it did not really require ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is what I look for as I hate ironing.
Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic clothing stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.
After some more research I found some more amazing pieces of information to do with bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows extremely quickly which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Also bamboo uses very little water during the growth period which means they can survive droughts.
I try to make eco-friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothing and other products such as sheets, underwear, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find more information on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
