I move around a lot for my studies and so often end up having dinner all alone in local restaurants. I usually take a good book or magazine with me to help pass the time. Recently, I was in CHICAGO IL where I ate at Hut Inc and I saw a really interesting piece to do with bamboo. I did not realise you are able to make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. For example, bamboo fabric is softer than organic cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a great quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent making it a excellent option for gym clothes or possibly as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by this article so I had to find out for myself. I searched online and got some items of clothing.

I must admit I was pretty impressed. The fabric definitely is soft, similar to silk. It was almost dry as soon as I removed it from the washing machine which I think is great. The other thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily require ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is what I look for as I can not stand ironing.

Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic apparel stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.

After a little more research I discovered some more amazing details about bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows very fast which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Plus bamboo needs very little water during the time it grows so they can survive droughts.

I try to make eco-friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as robes, blankets, curtains, and baby clothes.

You can find more articles on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
