I travel a lot for my job and so usually end up having dinner alone in cafes. I like to take a novel or magazine with me to help pass the time. The other day, I was in CHICAGO IL where I ate at Grillers Cafe and I saw a new cover story about bamboo clothing. I had no idea you could make clothes out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some amazing qualities. It turns out bamboo clothing is softer than regular cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent which means it is a excellent possibility for gym clothes or even as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by these claims so I had to find out if it was true. I looked online and bought some basic items of clothing.
I should tell you I was extremely impressed. The fabric absolutely is soft, not unlike silk. It was pretty much dry when I took it out of the washing machine which I thought was amazing. Another thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily need ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is something I look for as I can not stand ironing.
Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic clothing stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.
After some more research I found some amazing details about bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows incredibly quickly which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Also bamboo needs little water during the growth period meaning they can survive droughts.
I do my best to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for clothing and other products such as towels, underwear, rugs, and baby clothes.
You can find some details on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
