I travel a lot for my job and so often end up having dinner by myself in local restaurants. I often take a novel or magazine with me to help pass the time. Recently, I was in CHICAGO IL where I ate at Irving Perk Cafe and I read a new article to do with bamboo. I had no idea you could make fabric out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. I found out bamboo fabric is softer than regular cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent so it is a excellent option for gym wear or also as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by these claims so I had to find out if this was really the case. I searched online and got some items of clothing.

I should admit I was very happy with what I bought. The fabric definitely is soft, not unlike silk. It was close to being dry as soon as I took it from the washing machine which I think is amazing. I also noticed is that it did not really need much ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is something I look for as I hate doing ironing.

After a little more research I discovered some other interesting details to do with bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows very rapidly which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo needs little water during the growing period meaning they can survive droughts.

I attempt to make eco friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothes and other products such as towels, underwear, curtains, and baby clothes.

You can find more details on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
