I travel quite a lot for my work and so usually end up having my dinner all alone in local restaurants. I often take a novel or magazine with me to prevent boredom. The other day, I was in CHICAGO IL where I ate at I 57 Rib House and I saw a new article on bamboo clothing. I did not know you could make fabric out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some amazing qualities. For example, bamboo clothing is softer than organic cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a great quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent which means it is a great choice for gym wear or even as bamboo towels. I was interested by this article so I had to find out if it was true. I went online and got a few basic items of clothing.

I should say I was very impressed with the quality. The fabric definitely is soft, kind of like silk. It was pretty much dry after I took it out of the washing machine which I found to be incredible. I also noticed is that it did not particularly require ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is something I look for as I hate doing ironing.

After a bit more research I found some more incredible pieces of information to do with bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows very fast which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo requires little water during the growth period so they can survive droughts.

I attempt to make eco-friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothes and other products such as sheets, blankets, curtains, and baby clothes.

You can find more information on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
