I travel a lot for my work and so regularly end up eating all alone in restaurants. I usually take a book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Recently, I was in CHESAPEAKE BEACH MD where I ate at Lagoons Island Grille and I saw a really interesting cover story on bamboo clothes. I did not realise you can make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some great qualities. It turns out bamboo clothing is softer than organic cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent making it a excellent possibility for gym gear or possibly as bamboo towels. I was interested by this article so I had to find out for myself. I searched online and got a couple pieces of clothing.

I have to admit I was very impressed. The fabric definitely is soft, kind of like silk. It was close to being dry when I took it out of the washing machine which I think is great. I also noticed is that it did not particularly need ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate ironing.

After some more research I found out some other amazing facts to do with bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows very fast which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Plus bamboo needs little water during the growth period so they can survive droughts.

I do my best to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as towels, underwear, throws, and baby clothes.

You can find some details on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
