I travel a lot for my studies and so regularly end up having my dinner all alone in restaurants. I often take a good book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Last week, I was in CHATTANOOGA TN where I ate at Krystal CO and I saw a really interesting cover story to do with bamboo clothes. I did not realise you could make clothing out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some amazing qualities. I found out bamboo fabric is softer than regular cotton. They say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a great quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent making it a good possibility for gym wear or possibly as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by these claims so I had to find out for myself. I searched online and purchased some items of clothing.

I must say I was pretty happy with what I bought. The fabric absolutely is soft, kind of like silk. It was close to being dry after I removed it from the washing machine which I think is great. Another thing I noticed is that it did not really need much ironing. I do not know if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is what I look for as I hate doing ironing.

Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic apparel stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.

After a bit more research I found out some other interesting details to do with bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows very fast which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Also bamboo needs only a small amount of water during the growing period which means they can survive droughts.

I do my best to make eco-friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for clothing and other products such as towels, socks, rugs, and baby clothes.

You can find plenty of details on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
