I move around a lot for my job and so usually end up eating all alone in restaurants. I usually take a novel or magazine with me to help pass the time. The other day, I was in CHATSWORTH CA where I ate at Popeye's Chicken and I came across a new article on bamboo clothes. I did not realise you can make fabric out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. I found out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than organic cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent so it is a good choice for gym wear or also as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by what I had discovered so I had to find out if this was really the case. I looked online and got a few items of clothing.

I must admit I was very impressed. The fabric definitely is soft, not unlike silk. It was close to being dry after I took it out of the washing machine which I thought was great. I also noticed is that it did not necessarily need much ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is a quality I look for as I can not stand ironing.

You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic clothes stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.

After some more research I found some more interesting facts on bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows extremely quickly which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Also bamboo needs little water during the growth period which means they can survive droughts.

I try to make eco friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as robes, underwear, throws, and baby clothes.

You can find more information on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
