I travel quite a lot for my studies and so regularly end up eating by myself in cafes. I usually take a novel or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. The other day, I was in CHARLOTTE NC where I ate at Ruby Palace and I saw a new cover story on bamboo clothing. I had no idea you are able to make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some great qualities. For example, bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than most cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent which means it is a excellent possibility for gym gear or possibly as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by these claims so I had to find out if it was true. I searched online and got some pieces of clothing.

I must say I was pretty impressed. The fabric absolutely is soft, kind of like silk. It was almost dry as soon as I removed it from the washing machine which I thought was incredible. The other thing I noticed is that it did not really need ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is what I look for as I hate ironing.

Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic clothing stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.

After some more research I discovered some amazing pieces of information on bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows very rapidly which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo uses little water during the time it grows meaning they can survive droughts.

I attempt to make eco friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as robes, underwear, curtains, and baby clothes.

You can find plenty of details on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
