I move around a lot for my job and so usually end up having my dinner by myself in restaurants. I often take a good book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Recently, I was in CAROL STREAM IL where I ate at Phohoa Restaurant and I read an interesting piece about bamboo. I did not realise you can make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some great qualities. I found out bamboo clothing is softer than most cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a great quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent which means it is a great possibility for gym clothes or possibly as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by these claims so I had to find out if it was true. I went online and bought a couple basic items of clothing.

I have to tell you I was pretty happy with what I bought. The fabric really is soft, kind of like silk. It was close to being dry when I took it from the washing machine which I found to be incredible. The other thing I noticed is that it did not particularly need much ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is something I look for as I can not stand ironing.

Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic apparel stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.

After a bit more research I found some amazing pieces of information to do with bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows incredibly rapidly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Plus bamboo uses little water during the time it grows which means they can survive droughts.

I do my best to make eco friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for clothing and other products such as sheets, underwear, rugs, and baby clothes.

You can find plenty of articles on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
