I travel quite a lot for my work and so usually end up having dinner by myself in restaurants. I like to take a book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. The other day, I was in CANTON MI where I ate at Imperial Chop Suey and I saw an interesting article to do with bamboo clothing. I did not realise you could make clothes out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some amazing qualities. I found out bamboo clothing is softer than regular cotton. They say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent making it a good possibility for gym wear or even as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by these claims so I had to find out if it was true. I searched online and bought a couple basic items of clothing.
I should tell you I was very impressed with the quality. The fabric really is soft, similar to silk. It was pretty much dry after I took it from the washing machine which I found to be incredible. I also noticed is that it did not necessarily need ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate doing ironing.
You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic clothing stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.
After a bit more research I found out some amazing details on bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows incredibly fast which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo requires very little water during the growing period meaning they can survive droughts.
I do my best to make eco-friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothing and other products such as robes, socks, rugs, and baby clothes.
You can find plenty of details on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
