I travel a lot for my work and so usually end up having my dinner all alone in restaurants. I like to take a novel or magazine with me to help pass the time. Recently, I was in BUTNER NC where I ate at 24 Hour Waffle & Pancake House and I read a new cover story on bamboo. I did not know you could make clothing out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some amazing qualities. It turns out bamboo clothing is softer than most cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent which means it is a great possibility for gym clothes or possibly as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by these claims so I had to find out for myself. I went online and purchased a couple items of clothing.
I have to tell you I was pretty impressed. The fabric definitely is soft, not unlike silk. It was almost dry after I took it from the washing machine which I found to be amazing. The other thing I noticed is that it did not particularly need much ironing. I do not know if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is something I look for as I hate doing ironing.
Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic apparel stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.
After some more research I found out some more amazing pieces of information to do with bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows extremely rapidly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo needs little water during the growing period which means they can survive droughts.
I do my best to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as towels, underwear, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find more articles on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
