I move around a lot for my work and so often end up having my dinner alone in local restaurants. I usually take a book or magazine with me to help pass the time. Recently, I was in BUCHANAN MI where I ate at Milano Take-Out Pizza of Buchanan and I read an interesting piece on bamboo clothes. I did not realise you can make clothes out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some amazing qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than most cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent which means it is a great choice for gym gear or also as bamboo towels. I was interested by what I had discovered so I had to find out if this was really the case. I searched online and purchased some pieces of clothing.
I have to tell you I was very happy with what I bought. The fabric definitely is soft, similar to silk. It was almost dry when I took it from the washing machine which I found to be incredible. I also noticed is that it did not necessarily require ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is something I look for as I hate doing ironing.
After some more research I discovered some other amazing details to do with bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows very quickly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Plus bamboo needs only a small amount of water during the growing period meaning they can survive droughts.
I try to make eco-friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothing and other products such as towels, socks, curtains, and baby clothes.
You can find more articles on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
