I move around a lot for my job and so regularly end up having my dinner all alone in cafes. I like to take a good book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. The other day, I was in BROOKLYN NY where I ate at Black Betty and I read an interesting article about bamboo clothing. I had no idea you are able to make clothes out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some great qualities. I found out bamboo fabric is softer than regular cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent making it a great option for gym clothes or even as bamboo towels. I was interested by these claims so I had to find out if it was true. I went online and bought some basic items of clothing.
I should admit I was very happy with what I bought. The fabric really is soft, not unlike silk. It was almost dry when I took it from the washing machine which I found to be amazing. I also noticed is that it did not necessarily need ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is what I look for as I can not stand ironing.
Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic clothing stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.
After a little more research I found some amazing details to do with bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows incredibly quickly which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo needs only a small amount of water during the time it grows which means they can survive droughts.
I try to make eco friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as sheets, blankets, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find some details on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
