I move around a lot for my studies and so regularly end up having my dinner all alone in restaurants. I often take a good book or magazine with me to help pass the time. Recently, I was in BRISTOL CT where I ate at LA Monico's Restaurant and I read a new piece about bamboo clothing. I had no idea you could make clothing out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some great qualities. I found out bamboo fabric is softer than regular cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent which means it is a great option for gym clothes or possibly as bamboo towels. I was interested by these claims so I had to find out if this was really the case. I looked online and bought a couple items of clothing.
I should tell you I was pretty happy with what I bought. The fabric absolutely is soft, similar to silk. It was pretty much dry after I removed it from the washing machine which I think is great. Another thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily require ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is what I look for as I hate doing ironing.
Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic clothing stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.
After a little more research I discovered some other amazing facts on bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows incredibly quickly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo uses only a small amount of water during the growth period which means they can survive droughts.
I try to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothes and other products such as sheets, socks, curtains, and baby clothes.
You can find plenty of information on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
