I move around a lot for my studies and so regularly end up having dinner alone in local restaurants. I like to take a good book or magazine with me to help pass the time. Last week, I was in BOSTON MA where I ate at Kelly Restaurant Corporation and I read a really interesting cover story about bamboo clothes. I did not realise you can make clothing out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. I found out bamboo fabric is softer than organic cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a great quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent making it a great possibility for gym clothes or possibly as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by this article so I had to find out if it was true. I went online and purchased some items of clothing.
I have to tell you I was very impressed with the quality. The fabric definitely is soft, kind of like silk. It was pretty much dry as soon as I took it out of the washing machine which I found to be great. I also noticed is that it did not necessarily need much ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is something I look for as I hate ironing.
Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic apparel stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.
After a bit more research I discovered some more incredible details on bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows incredibly rapidly which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Also bamboo needs little water during the growing period which means they can survive droughts.
I attempt to make eco-friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothes and other products such as robes, socks, curtains, and baby clothes.
You can find plenty of information on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
