I travel quite a lot for my job and so regularly end up having my dinner by myself in cafes. I often take a good book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Last week, I was in BOSTON MA where I ate at Fire & Ice Restaurants and I saw a really interesting cover story to do with bamboo clothing. I did not realise you could make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. I found out bamboo fabric is softer than organic cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent so it is a great option for gym wear or also as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by this article so I had to find out if this was really the case. I searched online and purchased some pieces of clothing.

I must admit I was extremely happy with what I bought. The fabric absolutely is soft, kind of like silk. It was pretty much dry as soon as I took it from the washing machine which I found to be great. I also noticed is that it did not necessarily need much ironing. I do not know if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is something I look for as I can not stand ironing.

Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic apparel stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.

After a little more research I discovered some other amazing facts about bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows extremely quickly which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo needs little water during the time it grows which means they can survive droughts.

I try to make eco-friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothes and other products such as robes, underwear, curtains, and baby clothes.

You can find some information on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
