I travel a lot for my studies and so often end up having dinner by myself in restaurants. I like to take a good book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Recently, I was in BOSTON MA where I ate at Philips Old Colony House and I came across a new article to do with bamboo clothes. I did not realise you are able to make clothing out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some great qualities. I found out bamboo fabric is softer than organic cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent so it is a great possibility for gym gear or even as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by these claims so I had to find out if it was true. I searched online and bought a few pieces of clothing.

I must admit I was extremely impressed with the quality. The fabric really is soft, not unlike silk. It was close to being dry as soon as I took it out of the washing machine which I found to be amazing. I also noticed is that it did not particularly need much ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is what I look for as I hate ironing.

Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic clothing stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.

After a bit more research I discovered some other amazing facts about bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows very fast which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Plus bamboo needs only a small amount of water during the growing period meaning they can survive droughts.

I do my best to make eco-friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothing and other products such as sheets, underwear, throws, and baby clothes.

You can find plenty of information on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
