I move around a lot for my studies and so regularly end up having my dinner alone in cafes. I like to take a book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. The other day, I was in BOSTON MA where I ate at Troquet and I came across a new piece to do with bamboo clothes. I did not realise you can make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some great qualities. It turns out bamboo clothing is softer than regular cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent which means it is a excellent choice for gym gear or possibly as bamboo towels. I was interested by this article so I had to find out for myself. I went online and got a couple basic items of clothing.

I have to say I was very impressed. The fabric absolutely is soft, not unlike silk. It was almost dry as soon as I removed it from the washing machine which I found to be amazing. I also noticed is that it did not really require ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is what I look for as I can not stand ironing.

Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic clothes stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.

After some more research I found some more incredible pieces of information to do with bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows very rapidly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Also bamboo uses only a small amount of water during the growth period which means they can survive droughts.

I try to make eco friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothes and other products such as towels, socks, throws, and baby clothes.

You can find more information on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
