I move around a lot for my work and so usually end up eating alone in cafes. I like to take a good book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Recently, I was in BLUFFTON SC where I ate at Amigo's and I saw a really interesting piece about bamboo clothing. I did not realise you could make fabric out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric is softer than most cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent making it a good possibility for gym clothes or possibly as bamboo towels. I was interested by what I had discovered so I had to find out if it was true. I went online and got a couple items of clothing.
I should say I was pretty happy with what I bought. The fabric definitely is soft, not unlike silk. It was almost dry as soon as I took it out of the washing machine which I thought was incredible. The other thing I noticed is that it did not particularly require ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is what I look for as I hate doing ironing.
Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic clothes stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.
After a little more research I found some incredible details to do with bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows incredibly quickly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo uses little water during the growing period meaning they can survive droughts.
I do my best to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as robes, socks, rugs, and baby clothes.
You can find more articles on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
