I travel a lot for my job and so usually end up eating alone in restaurants. I usually take a book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Last week, I was in BELVEDERE TIBURON CA where I ate at Servino Ristorante and I came across a new piece about bamboo clothing. I did not realise you could make clothing out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some great qualities. For example, bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than regular cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a fantastic quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent which means it is a good possibility for gym gear or also as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by these claims so I had to find out if this was really the case. I went online and bought a few items of clothing.

I should say I was pretty impressed with the quality. The fabric definitely is soft, kind of like silk. It was almost dry as soon as I took it out of the washing machine which I think is amazing. The other thing I noticed is that it did not particularly need ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is something I look for as I hate ironing.

After a bit more research I found out some more amazing pieces of information about bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows incredibly quickly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Also bamboo needs very little water during the time it grows meaning they can survive droughts.

I attempt to make eco friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as robes, blankets, rugs, and baby clothes.

You can find plenty of information on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
