I move around a lot for my job and so regularly end up having my dinner by myself in local restaurants. I like to take a good book or magazine with me to help pass the time. Recently, I was in BEACHWOOD OH where I ate at Radisson Hotels Worldwide Beachwood and I read a new article about bamboo. I did not know you could make fabric out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than most cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a fantastic quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent making it a excellent option for gym gear or even as bamboo towels. I was interested by what I had discovered so I had to find out if this was really the case. I searched online and got a few basic items of clothing.
I have to tell you I was pretty happy with what I bought. The fabric really is soft, not unlike silk. It was pretty much dry as soon as I took it from the washing machine which I think is amazing. The other thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily require ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate doing ironing.
You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic clothes stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.
After a little more research I discovered some other incredible pieces of information to do with bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows incredibly fast which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Also bamboo uses little water during the growth period so they can survive droughts.
I attempt to make eco friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothing and other products such as towels, socks, rugs, and baby clothes.
You can find more articles on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
