I travel a lot for my job and so usually end up having dinner alone in restaurants. I usually take a good book or magazine with me to help pass the time. The other day, I was in BEACH ND where I ate at Hot Stuff Carry Out Cafe and I read a new article on bamboo clothes. I had no idea you are able to make clothing out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than regular cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent so it is a excellent option for gym gear or also as bamboo towels. I was interested by this article so I had to find out for myself. I searched online and purchased some pieces of clothing.

I have to say I was very happy with what I bought. The fabric absolutely is soft, not unlike silk. It was close to being dry when I removed it from the washing machine which I found to be amazing. Another thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily need much ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is a quality I look for as I can not stand ironing.

You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic clothes stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.

After a bit more research I found out some more incredible pieces of information to do with bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows very quickly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Also bamboo requires very little water during the time it grows meaning they can survive droughts.

I attempt to make eco friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as sheets, blankets, curtains, and baby clothes.

You can find plenty of information on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
