I travel quite a lot for my work and so usually end up having my dinner by myself in cafes. I often take a novel or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Recently, I was in BALTIMORE MD where I ate at Gagas and I saw a really interesting article about bamboo. I did not realise you can make fabric out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some great qualities. For example, bamboo clothing is softer than regular cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a great quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent so it is a good option for gym gear or possibly as bamboo towels. I was interested by what I had discovered so I had to find out for myself. I went online and purchased a couple items of clothing.

I have to tell you I was extremely impressed with the quality. The fabric really is soft, not unlike silk. It was close to being dry when I removed it from the washing machine which I found to be incredible. The other thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily need ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is something I look for as I hate doing ironing.

Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic clothing stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.

After some more research I discovered some amazing pieces of information about bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows extremely quickly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Also bamboo uses little water during the growing period so they can survive droughts.

I attempt to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as robes, underwear, curtains, and baby clothes.

You can find some articles on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
