I travel a lot for my work and so often end up eating all alone in local restaurants. I often take a book or magazine with me to help pass the time. Last week, I was in BALTIMORE MD where I ate at Sandalwood Restaurant and I read an interesting cover story to do with bamboo clothes. I did not realise you could make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. I found out bamboo clothing is softer than regular cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a great quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent making it a good option for gym clothes or even as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by what I had discovered so I had to find out if it was true. I searched online and bought some pieces of clothing.

I must tell you I was extremely impressed. The fabric absolutely is soft, similar to silk. It was close to being dry as soon as I removed it from the washing machine which I thought was amazing. I also noticed is that it did not really need much ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is a quality I look for as I can not stand ironing.

Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic clothes stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.

After a little more research I found out some more interesting facts about bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows very rapidly which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Plus bamboo requires only a small amount of water during the time it grows which means they can survive droughts.

I do my best to make eco-friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for clothing and other products such as sheets, blankets, rugs, and baby clothes.

You can find plenty of articles on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
