I travel quite a lot for my job and so often end up eating by myself in cafes. I like to take a book or magazine with me to help pass the time. Recently, I was in AUSTIN TX where I ate at Los Comales and I read a new piece to do with bamboo clothing. I did not know you can make fabric out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some amazing qualities. For example, bamboo clothing is softer than most cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is an excellent quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent so it is a excellent choice for gym wear or even as bamboo towels. I was interested by this article so I had to find out for myself. I searched online and purchased some basic items of clothing.
I should tell you I was very happy with what I bought. The fabric definitely is soft, similar to silk. It was close to being dry when I removed it from the washing machine which I found to be incredible. I also noticed is that it did not necessarily require ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is something I look for as I hate ironing.
After some more research I discovered some more incredible pieces of information to do with bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows very quickly which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo needs little water during the time it grows meaning they can survive droughts.
I try to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothing and other products such as towels, blankets, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find plenty of articles on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
