I travel quite a lot for my job and so often end up eating all alone in local restaurants. I often take a good book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Last week, I was in AUSTIN TX where I ate at Bill Miller Bar-B-Q and I came across a new piece about bamboo clothes. I did not realise you can make fabric out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some great qualities. For example, bamboo clothing is softer than regular cotton. They say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is an excellent quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent which means it is a excellent possibility for gym clothes or also as bamboo towels. I was interested by what I had discovered so I had to find out for myself. I searched online and got some items of clothing.
I must admit I was very impressed. The fabric really is soft, similar to silk. It was close to being dry when I removed it from the washing machine which I found to be great. The other thing I noticed is that it did not particularly need much ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is what I look for as I can not stand ironing.
Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic clothing stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.
After some more research I found some more incredible details on bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows very fast which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo requires little water during the growing period which means they can survive droughts.
I try to make eco friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothes and other products such as robes, blankets, curtains, and baby clothes.
You can find plenty of information on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
