I travel a lot for my studies and so regularly end up having my dinner by myself in local restaurants. I like to take a book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Last week, I was in AUSTIN TX where I ate at Wing Zone and I read a new piece to do with bamboo clothes. I did not know you can make clothing out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some amazing qualities. I found out bamboo clothing is softer than regular cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent which means it is a excellent choice for gym gear or possibly as bamboo towels. I was interested by what I had discovered so I had to find out if this was really the case. I went online and bought a couple basic items of clothing.
I must say I was pretty happy with what I bought. The fabric really is soft, not unlike silk. It was pretty much dry after I took it from the washing machine which I thought was amazing. The other thing I noticed is that it did not really need ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is what I look for as I hate doing ironing.
You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic clothes stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.
After some more research I discovered some interesting details about bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows incredibly quickly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo needs little water during the time it grows meaning they can survive droughts.
I attempt to make eco-friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as sheets, underwear, curtains, and baby clothes.
You can find more details on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
