I move around a lot for my job and so usually end up having my dinner all alone in local restaurants. I often take a good book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. The other day, I was in AUGUSTA NJ where I ate at Country Pizza Restaurant and I saw a new cover story on bamboo clothing. I did not know you could make clothes out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some amazing qualities. For example, bamboo clothing is softer than organic cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is an excellent quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent making it a excellent option for gym wear or also as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by this article so I had to find out if it was true. I went online and got a few basic items of clothing.
I must tell you I was extremely impressed with the quality. The fabric really is soft, kind of like silk. It was pretty much dry after I took it out of the washing machine which I think is incredible. The other thing I noticed is that it did not particularly need much ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is what I look for as I hate doing ironing.
You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic apparel stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.
After some more research I discovered some other interesting pieces of information about bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows incredibly rapidly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Also bamboo uses little water during the time it grows which means they can survive droughts.
I attempt to make eco friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothes and other products such as towels, socks, rugs, and baby clothes.
You can find plenty of information on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
