I move around a lot for my studies and so regularly end up eating all alone in local restaurants. I often take a good book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Last week, I was in AUGUSTA GA where I ate at Luigi's Restaurant Inc and I saw a new cover story about bamboo clothes. I did not know you can make clothing out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some great qualities. It turns out bamboo clothing is softer than regular cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a great quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent making it a excellent option for gym wear or possibly as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by this article so I had to find out if it was true. I looked online and bought a few items of clothing.

I must admit I was very impressed. The fabric really is soft, kind of like silk. It was close to being dry after I took it from the washing machine which I think is great. The other thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily need ironing. I do not know if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate ironing.

You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic apparel stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.

After some more research I found some more amazing pieces of information on bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows incredibly rapidly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo uses only a small amount of water during the time it grows which means they can survive droughts.

I do my best to make eco friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothes and other products such as towels, underwear, rugs, and baby clothes.
