I travel quite a lot for my work and so usually end up having dinner all alone in restaurants. I usually take a novel or magazine with me to prevent boredom. The other day, I was in AUBURN KS where I ate at Gambino's Pizza and I read a really interesting cover story to do with bamboo. I did not realise you are able to make fabric out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. I found out bamboo fabric is softer than regular cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent making it a great possibility for gym clothes or even as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by what I had discovered so I had to find out if this was really the case. I went online and purchased some items of clothing.
I should tell you I was very impressed with the quality. The fabric really is soft, similar to silk. It was pretty much dry as soon as I took it out of the washing machine which I thought was incredible. I also noticed is that it did not necessarily need ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is something I look for as I can not stand ironing.
You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic apparel stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.
After a bit more research I found out some other amazing details to do with bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows very fast which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Also bamboo uses only a small amount of water during the growth period so they can survive droughts.
I do my best to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as towels, underwear, rugs, and baby clothes.
You can find more information on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
