I travel quite a lot for my job and so usually end up having my dinner by myself in restaurants. I like to take a book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. The other day, I was in ATLANTA GA where I ate at Thelmas Kitchen and I saw a really interesting article to do with bamboo. I did not know you can make clothes out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some amazing qualities. It turns out bamboo clothing is softer than organic cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent making it a great option for gym gear or even as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by these claims so I had to find out if it was true. I looked online and bought a few items of clothing.
I have to say I was pretty impressed. The fabric really is soft, kind of like silk. It was close to being dry after I took it out of the washing machine which I think is incredible. I also noticed is that it did not particularly need much ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is something I look for as I hate ironing.
Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic clothes stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.
After some more research I found out some amazing details about bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows incredibly fast which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Plus bamboo needs little water during the growing period so they can survive droughts.
I do my best to make eco friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as sheets, socks, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find some details on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
