I move around a lot for my studies and so usually end up eating all alone in local restaurants. I often take a good book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Recently, I was in ATLANTA KS where I ate at Branding Iron Cafe LLC and I read an interesting cover story about bamboo clothes. I did not know you are able to make fabric out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some great qualities. For example, bamboo fabric is softer than most cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is an excellent quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent so it is a great possibility for gym gear or also as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by what I had discovered so I had to find out if it was true. I looked online and bought a couple items of clothing.

I must tell you I was extremely impressed. The fabric absolutely is soft, not unlike silk. It was pretty much dry when I removed it from the washing machine which I found to be great. I also noticed is that it did not necessarily need much ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is something I look for as I can not stand ironing.

You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic clothes stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.

After a little more research I discovered some more incredible facts about bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows extremely quickly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Plus bamboo requires very little water during the growing period so they can survive droughts.

I do my best to make eco friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as towels, blankets, throws, and baby clothes.

You can find more details on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
